Mapping

The Alliance has a geographic information system (GIS) that uses ArcGIS 9 mapping software to create, edit, manage and publish high-quality maps of Brazoria County.

To produce the maps, The Alliance’s GIS system uses a Brazoria County aerial photo database. Using this database, The Alliance can customize aerial photos, identify specific parcels, identify political boundaries, ETJs, pipelines, floodplains, determine approximate dimensions of properties, etc.
