Brazoria County is home to many major industrial businesses. Over $30 Billion has been invested here by the petrochemical industry and the county is home to one of the largest petrochemical complexes in the world. With a major port on the Gulf of Mexico, products and commodities can be shipping all over the world.

Fernando Signorini, currently vice president of Operations USGC, site director Dow Texas Operations and president & CEO Union Carbide Corporation has accepted the role of vice president for the Ethylene & Energy Envelope and will have accountability for Packaging and Specialty Plastics and Olefins, Aromatics & Alternatives (OAA) Hydrocarbons business. Fernando will transition into this role over the next few months and will continue to report to John Sampson, senior vice president for Operations.
Denise DeLaune, currently global operations director for Operational Excellence and Leveraged Services has accepted the role as vice president of Operations USGC and site director Dow Texas Operations. Denise will transition into the role over the next few months and will continue to report to John Sampson, sr. vice president Operations. Denise will re-locate to Lake Jackson, TX.
